British Hacker looses extradition appeal

A British hacker, Gary McKinnon has lost his appeal against being extradited to the USA.

He is accused of the biggest military computer hack in history and could face a life sentence in the US.

His motifis behind the hacking attepmts were to find evidence of UFO’s that the US was hiding.

I think this man should be employed ! Not sent to prison !  - Genius.

Here is a great interview http://youtube.com/watch?v=B4PkNPCEnJM

He tells how he got into the systems and what he found.

This man should NOT be extradited or go to prison.

Really his penetration should be studied and it probably was used in training he should be teaching not defending against them If the system is opened and I don’t mean social hacking(like stealing a sticky note). I think this is some kind of vengeance not justice. Maybe bush will pardon him when leaving office YEAH BIG CHANCE.

yes he should go to jail.
there are a few questions though, if some american breaks into a iranian military computer looking for evidance of bigfoot do we send him to iran?
i doubt that would happen but i dont think its ever ok to hack goverment computers and we have put americans in jail for it.
it said that he did $900,000 worth of damage to the computers, that is not just snooping around, to do damage to our goverments computer system is (maybe not terrorism) very dangerous in that while the damage was being fixed should we have needed those computers for something important while they were down it could have caused harm to our nation.
and for the whole U.F.O. thing, “if” there is informaton out there about U.F.O.’s i would think that it is somewhere that can not be accessed over the internet, it would be on a stand alone computer that you would have to sit infront of to use and i doubt there would be too many folks with access to it.

As Bill said - he should be teaching !

Scott - good point on the whole UFO thing.

Did you watch that interview ?

no i didnt, i will when i get home from work cant download videos from work, so people dont watch porn, lol,

you never know the goverment may want him here and in jail as a cover so they can put him in a cave somewhere so he can work for us, you never know,

If we put it this way - He should be employed, not going to jail - it’s bad thinking.

A robber? Let’s hire him for a security firm, he’s good.
An assassin? Let’s hire him for a sharpshooter in the navy.

All my respect, but I’ll let the justice do whatever, I don’t think he’ll get a life sentence to be honest, US is smart.

scorpiono - thats a good point
